Ibrahim Abubakar, a senior member of the Nigeria Football Federation, has been killed.
Abubakar was shot dead early Wednesday in Abuja, according to a Twitter message posted by the NFF.
Until his death, Abubakar was Federation's Head of Protocol.
According to the NFF, a gang believed to be armed robbers stormed his house and killed him.
He will be buried later on Wednesday according to Islamic rites.
